Trial Assessment Lesson - £30
Private sessions offer a comprehensive study of the piano, balancing technical proficiency with a core foundation in music theory. Each lesson is tailored to the student's level to ensure a disciplined yet adaptable approach to the instrument.
Lessons will be held weekly at a designated time.
What’s included:
30-minute private lesson
Basic assessment of technique, musicality and reading skills
For beginners: simple ear training (listening skills) and rhythm assessment
Gentle introduction to piano, posture and hand position
For experienced students: quick evaluation of repertoire and current level
Short discussion with parent/student about goals and learning plan
Recommendation for suitable programme (monthly or term tuition)
A focused introductory lesson designed to understand the student’s current level and learning needs

No preparation required for beginners
For advanced students, you may bring any pieces you are currently working on
Trial lesson fee is deducted from the first month/term if the student continues
Placement-based teaching: students are accepted into programmes based on trial evaluation

[ About Sofiia ]
Sofiia is an international concert pianist and prizewinner of international piano competitions, with extensive experience performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist across Europe and the USA.
Her musical journey began in early childhood with classical piano training and continued through years of dedicated study with renowned pianists and teachers, including Marianna Humetska, Fali Pavri and Petras Geniusas. Their guidance played an important role in her artistic development, and her graduation with honours from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she was twice awarded the Robert Turnbull Foundation scholoarship. These experiences, together with her professional career as a concert pianist have shaped her deep understanding of the instrument, musical interpretation, and artistic development.
Today, Sofiia brings this experience into her teaching, helping students develop strong technique, musical expression, and confidence with the instrument. She believes that learning piano should be both inspiring and purposeful, while allowing each student to develop their own musical voice.
